Sig Sandzen

Landscape Designer

Sig joined RBA in 2015. He is native to the southeast, coming to Boston from South Carolina with a background in horticulture and interests in creative writing and graphic design. He received a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Clemson University.

Sig worked with UGA’s FindIt! Program during his graduate research to help establish the University’s Historic Preservation Master Plan. He also served as editor/editor-in-chief of the College of Environment and Design Magazine, an entirely student-run publication. His graduate research focused on biomimicry design principles, including implementation strategies within the landscape architecture profession.

  • Sig enjoys scuba diving, running, and playing tennis. He is proficient in two, and very bad at the third
  • Sig and his Dubros Street housemates studied prescribed grazing by raising goats at their home in Athens, Georgia
  • His first skiing experience happened in -15 °F weather. Everyone survived
