Urban Street Tree Planting Symposium

More than 20 years ago, Skip worked with the Boston Society of Landscape Architects (BSLA) to organize this multi-disciplinary symposium on the topic of urban street tree planting. Gathering 170 participants from municipal, regional, and state government, non-profit advocates, and design professionals, the symposium brought in a new era of street-tree planting in Boston and other cities. Bringing these diverse minds together allowed for advances in technical details, policy improvements, and the establishment of guidelines for more successful tree plantings in urban environments.

The content of this symposium was published in report form, which can be accessed by following this link.
